Song Pix

LATEST PIC (sorry no lyrics for these)
A few months ago I thought it would be funny to put some Bollywood song on my cell phone so I randomly downloaded one that sounded funny. It wasn’t until this week when I was playing some old taped music of mine that hadn’t been listened to in years when my son pointed out that this was the same song as was on my cell phone.

How did I not make the connection? Must be meh age catching up.

But with a bit more looking I found more Punjabi that is REALLY COOL!!
Kay - I’m definitely a Punjabi fan!

“They”

Who made up all the rules, We follow them like fools
Believe them to be true, Don’t care to think them through

And I’m sorry so sorry, I’m sorry it’s like this
I’m sorry so sorry, I’m sorry we do this

And it’s ironic too, Coz what we tend to do
Is act on what they say, And then it is that way

And I’m sorry so sorry, I’m sorry it’s like this
I’m sorry so sorry, I’m sorry we do this

Who are they, And where are they
And how can they possibly, know all this
Who are they, And where are they
And how can they possibly, know all this

Do you see what I see, Why do we live like this
Is it because it’s true, that ignorance is bliss

Who are they, And where are they
And how do they, know all this
And I’m sorry so sorry, I’m sorry it’s like this

Do you see what I see, Why do we live like this
Is it because it’s true, that ignorance is bliss

And who are they, And where are they
And how can they, know all this
And I’m sorry so sorry, I’m sorry we do this

“Ahhhhh Bach!!”
I actually had a different pick for this week but when I saw it’s simplicity I was blown away. Clearly, I am not alone.

Dunno why I love this kind of music, just makes the old soul in me feel at home I guess. Hard to believe the artist (Rufus Wainright) is not only alive and well but looking right young for a chap that would have recorded something with this sound.

The vid is really cool but best of all is the inspiration the lyric brings to me. FYI, the sound quality is much better if you actually spill the couple bucks to purchase the song from iTunes. — Enjoy

RUFUS WAINWRIGHT
I’ll Build A Stairway To Paradise

All you preachers who delight in panning the dancing teachers
Let me tell you there are a lot of features
Of the dance that carry you through the gates of Heaven

It’s madness to be always sitting around in sadness
When you could be learning the steps of gladness
You’ll be happy when you can do just six or seven

Begin today, you’ll find it’s nice
The quickest way to paradise
When you practice, here’s the thing to do
Simply say as you go…

I’ll build a stairway to paradise
With a new step every day
I’m going to get there at any price
Stand aside, I’m on my way
I’ve got the blues and up above it’s so fair
Shoes, go on and carry me there
I’ll build a stairway to paradise
With a new step every day

I’ll build a stairway to paradise
With a new step every day
I’m going to get there at any price
Stand aside, I’m on my way
I’ve got the blues and up above it’s so fair
Shoes, go on and carry me there
I’ll build a stairway to paradise
With a new step every day
