BODYWORLDS 2
April 28, 2008 on 12:03 pm | In Fatherhood | No Comments5:30 am: Had to wake the lil guy extra early this morning to pack up some snacks, an (almost) fully charged Nintendo DS, 4 manga graphic novels, and a necktie for his school uniform (which he just “loves”). Today is the big trip to the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore.
I’m jealous actually, he will be visiting the “BodyWorlds 2″ exhibit and it looks really quite interesting. Several displays are shown not only as body parts, but as human ingredients in action, just without all that boring skin and clothing.
Generally I like to go on a trip like this with him but I have too much to accomplish both at work and at home so I’ll have to miss out on this trip. No worries, I’m still going to have my own fun with it. I am eager to ask that he describe EVERYTHING he saw on the trip just before presenting a hot platter of spaghetti in clumpy meat sauce for dinner — LOL
or should I say: “MeuwWah-HAHAHAHA!”.

SPRING RACES!
April 25, 2008 on 2:04 pm | In Home Life | 5 CommentsThis past month I’ve been going through all of the things that we collected for the past 12 years. Wendy was even kind enough to come over and spend the day going through everything we had in the attic. The result ended with a major trailer hall of trash to the dump and a bunch of stuff for me to take to flea markets and donate what I can’t sell to Goodwill.
With storage fees due for next month so this week has been a surge of panic as I am hustling every moment I can to sort through everything in my garden shed, garage, and art studio only to refill the space with my storage stuff (sadly that will mean another load of stuff to sort through). I long for the moment I feel my life is simplified but in the meantime I guess I’ll have to do without having a life until the job is done.
I’ve also purchased a ton of flowers and a couple of tomato plants hoping that I can get them dropped into the ground within the next week despite my load of chores. My neighbors got their yards looking so smart that it motivates me every time I pull up. Hopefully I can get them plants in the ground before they die waiting.

After weeding an area I chose to leave this wild flower alone since it had found a way to plant itself amidst the ugly weeds.
